Sewing frustrations

12 Jul

On Saturday I attempted to make a pair of shorts.  They aren’t finished (so no photos) and I might leave them a while before I do finish them.  You see they aren’t exactly what I had pictured in my mind which really annoys me.  Part of the reason for this is that I am not generally a very patient person and so I just whizz ahead without a real plan, I don’t measure things properly and thus make mistakes. This also brings out the aforementioned sewing rage.  So funny.  And boy was the living room a mess with bits of fabric lying around everywhere.

I think (or at least hope) the shorts are salvageable but I think I need to take a few steps back and just do a couple easier projects.

I still haven’t started sewing my quilt (it just doesn’t seem like an ‘important’ project in the middle of summer) but think I will work on this next.  You can’t go far wrong with sewing squares together can you?

Perhaps the shorts will be able to make an appearance for our holiday to Croatia …

Do you have something lying around waiting to be returned to?

I have a dress with a tear in, that has been held by safety pins for a few years now. I’m so lazy!!!

Here is your chance to say something lovely or interesting or wise. Please do, I love hearing from you.
