What I’m working on

6 Oct

I learnt to crochet just before I went on holiday and I have been working on this ever since (even crocheting on the train while we were travelling)

It is a blanket, but it is a gift so I can’t say anymore yet.  It is almost finished though and I am pretty chuffed with myself.  Crochet is great!

Very, very cool. I’m sure the recipient will be most pleased 🙂 As Trinis would say, ‘yuh have talent fuh so gierl!’ Translation, ‘you’re a very talented young lady.’ 🙂

Wow that’s totally impressive with the different colours – and your stitching looks professional! 🙂 Miss you! ❤

Wow, I love the colours! Could you knit before you learned to crochet? I’ve tried to learn to knit several times and am hopeless and people always say crochet is more difficult…
I’d much rather be able to crochet than knit if I could.

I love the photos of your work! Could you share some tips how they turned out that well? Did you take them with natural light, or did you use some other lightning or did afterwards something in Photoshop?

Thanks “Number 19”. I took them with natural light in the morning (big lounge window). I have a 50mm/1.4f lense so I took the pictures on the full 1.4 angled into the window (i.e. not straight out maybe 45 degrees?) and overexposed a little to compensate for the light from outside.

Thanks for your response! I consider buying a 50mm lense for my Nicon. I have a zoom lense, but it requires more light than a good lense.

Wow, cool, what is it gonna be ? I once saw a sweater made of “patches” of colorful crocheted squares and it was super pretty.

Crocheting on trains, that’s what I like to hear!

Here is your chance to say something lovely or interesting or wise. Please do, I love hearing from you.
