I don’t know if I mentioned that I started doing an online watercolour course by Alisa Burke. It is really great for a beginner like me because it starts at the beginning and doesn’t assume that you can draw. Anyway, I am a bit behind with the proposed dates but since it is online it doesn’t matter that much. In fact if you are interested you can join at any time.
Last night I worked on ‘backgrounds’. I didn’t have things to hand to explore all the options but this is what I got up to. I feel like I must have been channeling the seaside as I kind of stuck to blues and got some wavy patterns going.

along with this post by Bri of Design Love Fest have inspired me to go find some inspiration in the real world. I’m determined to take my camera with me everywhere and maybe a sketch book to doodle some ideas.
